Joseph Leufer Jewellers stands as one of the longest-serving family businesses in County Galway and ranks among the most esteemed jewellers in Ireland.

The accompanying image features Joseph Leufer, the founder of Joseph Leufers Jewellers, at his establishment on Bishop Street in Tuam, County Galway, in 1878. Joseph emigrated
from the Black Forest region of Germany during the latter half of the 19th century.

As a skilled watchmaker, his legacy and expertise have been meticulously preserved and transmitted through generations. In 1971, his grandson, Joe, opened a second jewellery store in The Square, Tuam.

The business has continued to flourish and is presently managed by the fourth generation of the Leufer family, with the fifth generation up and coming. Joseph Leufer Jewellers has consistently upheld a reputation for quality and exceptional
service within County Galway.
